Anja-Silvia Goeing works closely with Professor Ann Blair on early modern studies and book history programs at Harvard. She maintains the Early Modern World Initiative (180+ affiliated scholars) and coordinates outreach for the Harvard Mahindra Humanities Seminar on Book History, curating member networks, resource pages, and event newsletters. In 2023, she co-founded the Global Information History Workshop, a monthly online forum connecting faculty and graduate students across nine countries.

Her own research in early modern intellectual and cultural history — including recent work on sixteenth-century Zurich and a book in progress on Conrad Gessner — allows her to engage with affiliated scholars as a peer, facilitating the kind of face-to-face exchange that transforms administrative coordination into genuine intellectual community. She also serves as track director for "Bodies, Nature, Knowledge" at the Sixteenth Century Society.
